Donating Securities
One great way to support CDT and gain tax advantages at the same time is to donate appreciated securities to the congregation. This may allow you to claim the full value of the gift as a charitable contribution, while avoiding any capital gains taxes that might otherwise apply. You can learn more about this option at this link or by talking to your financial advisor or accountant.
