Purim!

Thursday evening, March 13, we celebrate Queen Esther and Mordechai's victory over the evil Haman, antisemitic advisor to the King. (The rabbis say that after the Messiah comes, the only holiday left to celebrate will be Purim!) On Purim we celebrate with costumes, food and drink, sending each other delicious treats, the Megillah reading, caring for the needy, and a little dancing. Plus, of course, the spiel!

CDT Purim Party & Spiel!

Thursday, March 13, 7:00-9:00 pm
FUUSN (1326 Washington St, West Newton — parking available in the Second Church lot on Highland St)

Rav Tiffany says, "Put away your worries for the night, and party like it's Persia 580 B.C.E.!" Adults and kids of all ages are invited to enjoy Purim davvening with Rav Tiffany, megillah reading, the Purim spiel, and dancing — don't miss it! Tell your friends! This event will be in person only.

Show off your costume creativity by dressing as your silliest, most liberated self! There will be kid and adult prizes for everyone in the costume parade. Note: Those wearing appropriative costumes will be asked to change. Cultural appropriation often takes the form of dressing up as an ethnicity, race, or culture that is not your own. Not sure about your costume? Ask us!

Here is the schedule of the evening (times are approximate):

• 7:00 pm – Purim Davvening with Rav Tiffany
• 7:20 pm – Costume parade - prizes for kids and adults!
• 7:30 pm – Megillah reading & Purim songs (have your gragger ready!)
• 8:00 pm – Hamentaschen break and the Spiel!
• 8:30 pm – Dance the night away!!
