Welcoming Afghan Refugees: Understanding Cultural Strengths and Needs of Recent Arrivals

Sunday, November 7, 2021 3 Kislev 5782

7:00 PM - 8:15 PMZoom

Join us for an engaging presentation about Afghan culture and the needs of recent evacuees. The 75-minute program will include a presentation by Afghan-American Sina Baha, with plenty of time for Q&A. Sina will provide specific information about Afghan culture that will help us better understand and support our newly-arriving family.

We welcome all members of the congregation and especially hope those who have volunteered to provide support to the family will attend.

Registration is required https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYodO2uqj0uH9Gmjs6Uppmgfk6-BoQDnv7X

This program is sponsored by Congregation Dorshei Tzedek and the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, and will be recorded and later posted to the Afghan Family Resettlement webpage.

For more information, contact: Janet Penn.

Sina Baha is a mother of four children and volunteers to help refugees and at her local mosque.
