Undoing Racism Group: Discussion of "Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America"

7:00 PM - 8:30 PMZoom
The Conversation: On Jeffery Robinson's new Film Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America.
Join CDT's Undoing Racism group for a discussion of Jeffery Robinson's film, Who We Are. We learned a great deal when Mr. Robinson was with us last Yom Kippur, and now, his new film has been released; "interweaving lecture, personal anecdotes, interviews, and revelations, ACLU Deputy Legal Director, Jeffery Robinson, draws a stark timeline of anti-Black racism in the United States, from slavery to modern America."
The Expectation: The film is just short of 2 hours. We hope everyone will watch it on their own (all at once, or in segments – whatever makes sense for you). Then we will come together for a robust conversation on September 27 at 7:00 pm.
The Connection: The timing for watching and discussing the film precedes the beginning of a new class series – being developed in conjunction with the Reconstructing Judaism Movement – focusing on Reparations.
The Source: Available on Netflix, Roku, or through your local library.
Please register below and include in the Notes box if you plan on watching the film beforehand!
Sorry, Registration has ended.
