Massachusetts, like many states, is dealing with an overwhelming influx of people from around the globe seeking refuge from political oppression, economic crisis, and climate disasters. As part of our CDT Tikkun Olam efforts in 5784, we are gathering to consider ways that we might get involved in local initiatives to support newly arrived immigrants and refugees, whether trans people from the American South seeking safe haven, recent arrivals from Haiti and Afghanistan, or others seeking safety and shelter. Come and learn and help us decide what action, if any, we might take on as a congregation in the coming months. If you are interested but unable to attend, please contact Pam Katz, VP of Tikkun Olam, at tikkunolam@dorsheitzedek.org.
