Talmud for the 99% Intro - Hebrew Roots & Dictionary Skills Crash Course (Passover Learning)
Thursday, March 25, 2021 • 12 Nisan 5781
7:00 PM - 8:00 PMGet ready for passover with a deep dive into Hebrew roots and dictionary skills. We will decode a familiar passage of the Haggadah. By identifying roots, looking up words, and creating our own translations, we will transform how we relate to Passover, one of our most ancient rituals. We will walk through how to identify root letters of Hebrew words, and how to use a Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic dictionary to find out their meanings.
This session is open to the entire synagogue as a one-off event, and strongly encouraged for participants in Talmud for the 99% class beginning in April.
For more information about Talmud for the 99%, please visit the Class Info Page.
All you need to begin learning is your alef-bet (the ability to sound out the Hebrew alphabet) and you’re ready to go! Still working on your alef-bet? Check out these resources and contact Earnest, e.vener@dorsheitzedek.org, for support.
