IPPeace: Palestine Book Group

7:30 PM - 8:30 PMZoom
I/P Peace invites all members of CDT to join our new Palestine Book Group, which will hold its first gathering on Thursday, September 25 at 7:30 pm on Zoom. Our selection for this session will be Isabella Hammad’s award-winning novel Enter Ghost (2024), a riveting portrait of Palestinian life on both sides of the Green Line as seen through the eyes of Sonia, an Anglo-Palestinian actor who gets involved in a stage production of Hamlet in the West Bank.
CDT members Liz Carver and Andrew Sofer will lead our discussion of the book. Enter Ghost is currently available through the Minuteman Library Network (plan ahead!), in paperback, e-book, and audiobook. Please check the CDT calendar to find the Zoom registration link for September 25. Although this first gathering will be online, the group also hopes for opportunities to meet in person. CDT members are welcome to attend any or all sessions; no ongoing commitment is required, though we hope you’ll want to keep coming! CDT members are also welcome to join the planning group; please contact Sue Lanser at lanser@brandeis.edu if you are interested.
