Congregation Dorshei Tzedek is hosting a conversation with Sapir Sluzker Amran, Israeli Mizrachi feminist activist, human rights lawyer, and community organizer. Sapir will share inspiring stories about a new generation of Mizrachi (Jewish Israelis of North African/Middle Eastern descent) political activists who are fighting for public housing for single mothers, campaigning for LGBTQ rights, resisting deportation of asylum seekers, and striving to end the Occupation. Sapir will explore the transformative potential of solidarity and connectedness across communities with shared challenges and histories.
