This year for our school kick off event we will meet at Menotomy Rocks Park in Arlington for a nature walk with Earnest. CDT families with kids in grades PreK - Grade 7 are encouraged to come and bring friends who might be interested in our school and community. We will gather at the big field and then spend time in the Park's woods.

The Hebrew month of Elul, the month leading up to Rosh Hashanah, begins on August 21st. During the month of Elul we prepare for the high holydays. During our nature walk there will be time to reflect on the new year and the turning season. It is also an Elul tradition to sound the shofar every day leading up to Rosh Hashana. Please bring a shofar, if you have one, and we will begin bringing in the new year together. 

Event Details: 
Who: Kids in preschool through 7th grade, plus their adults
When: Sunday August 23rd at 4-5pm
Where: Jason st. main entrance to Menotomy Park. 

Safety Protocols: 
- All participants will be masked for the duration of the program
- We will keep a distance of six feet during the program
- There are no bathrooms at the park due to COVID, please plan accordingly
- Sunscreen up before the event

In case of rain we will gather on Zoom for a virtual event.
