The CDT Men's Group will be holding their 2024 Shabbaton from 5:30 pm on Friday, November 8 to 6:00 pm on Saturday, November 9 at the BC Connors Retreat Center in Dover, MA. Registration is open to all CDT members who identify with manhood, including those who have not participated in the Men Group up until this point. Shabbaton activities will include:
‣ Opportunities to get to know and deepen relationships with other CDT guys
‣ Spirited Shabbat services
‣ Time in nature (weather permitting)
‣ Catered Shabbat meals (non-kosher vegetarian)
‣ Explorations in Jewish spirituality through text study, music, and meditation
‣ Time to relax and unwind in community
Rooms will be shared with 1-2 other Shabbaton participants. The facility is ADA accessible and parking friendly. Participants will be asked to take a rapid test on Friday and mask in common spaces outside of mealtimes. We will review and update COVID guidelines if and as circumstances change.
Registration will be capped at 16 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Register by October 15 to reserve your spot! This event is expected to cost CDT $218 per person. We want everyone who is interested to be able to come — please pay an amount that is comfortable for you. In order to ensure that our costs are covered, we encourage those who are able to pay a little extra so that everyone who wants to attend can do so.
Please feel free to reach out to Akiva Nelson, former CDT Rabbinic Intern (akivanelson1@gmail.com) or any of the members of the Shabbaton planning committee: Andrew Sofer (andrew.sofer@bc.edu), Eric Karp (ekarp@wfrllp.com), Rob Greenly (greenlygroup@gmail.com) with any questions or feedback.
