10:00 AM - 12:00 PMCDT (60 Highland St, West Newton)Do you get lost in the Shabbat morning prayer service and want to improve your understanding of the flow and structure? Don't understand the choreography and want to learn it? Don't get the meaning of the prayers but want to connect deeper to the relevance of this ancient poetry? In the Learners Minyan, we will explore the meaning, choreography, and structure of the Shabbat morning prayer service. You are welcome to join whether or not you are a regular synagogue-goer, know Hebrew, or have any Jewish educational background. No particular God-belief required, and all questions welcome. Please note, we will likely touch on the words of the prayers themselves, but this class isn't about learning how to say the words of the prayers in Hebrew. There will be opportunities to join the Shabbat morning service in the CDT sanctuary, and all are invited to stay for Kiddush lunch at noon.
