Friday, May 17, 2024 • 9 Iyyar 5784
6:30 PM - 9:00 PMCDT (60 Highland St)Join on Zoom (service/program only)
All are invited to join us for a catered Shabbat dinner beginning with candlelighting at 6:30 pm. At about 7:30 pm, we'll gather in the CDT sanctuary and on Zoom for special guest Yoni Battat (rescheduled from this January)! It's fine to come even if you haven't registered!
Yoni is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer, celebrating his Ashkenazi and Mizrahi ancestry through music. Over the past 15 years, Yoni has been immersing himself in maqam, the musical mode system of Arab music. As part of our service, he will perform original and traditional pieces, teaching about this rich culture and speaking about his personal experience of finding healing within his fragmented identity.
Sorry, Registration has ended.
