CDT Voter Mobilization Project
Tuesday, June 30, 2020 • 8 Tammuz 5780
7:30 PMEmpower and mobilize voters for the November 2020 election!
See the recording of the event HERE.
Did you know?
- Voter suppression is rampant, particularly in the south. 16.6 million community of color voters are inactive or unregistered for the 2020 elections.
- “Environmentalists don’t vote.” There are 10-15 million registered voters who identify the environment as one of their top priorities who DO NOT VOTE. In the 2016 presidential election, 10.1 million did not vote.
The CDT Voter Mobilization committee has identified two organizations doing critical work to mobilize voters:
- Environmental Voter Project: a nonpartisan group that does outreach to identified environmentalists to make certain they are registered to vote and pledge to vote in the upcoming election.
- Reclaim Our Vote: a nonpartisan voter outreach campaign working in states with a history of voter suppression to reregister voters of color who have been purged from the voter rolls and help all eligible voters of color get to the polls.
You can have an impact! Not an ‘activist’? Never worked on a campaign? NO PROBLEM! We’ll work in community to support and train everyone on all actions!
Let’s contact as many voters as possible before November!
