The Dorshei Tzedek sanctuary and most offices are located in the Second Church, 60 Highland Street (not Highland Avenue), in West Newton. Services and most events are held at the Second Church. However, please note that the Religious School and its office are located one block away in the First Unitarian Universalist Society in Newton, 1326 Washington Street, and at JCDS in Waltham.
There is ramp access to our building through the Chestnut Street lot, at 61 Chestnut Street. This door leads into the Second Church Preschool and is usually locked. Please let us know in advance if you would like to use this entrance.
From the South, West and North: Take Route 128 (I-95) to Exit 21, Route 16 East. Follow Route 16 (Washington Street) past Newton-Wellesley Hospital, and then across Commonwealth Avenue (Route 30). After a few blocks you will see an entrance to the Mass Pike. Don’t get on, just follow the signs to Route 16 East. You will bear left and then right and be in a business district. Take the first right onto Highland Street. Cross over the Mass Pike and turn left into the Second Church parking lot.
From the East: Take the Mass Pike to Exit 16, West Newton. Follow the signs to Route 16 East. Take the first right onto Highland Street. Cross over the Mass Pike and turn left into the Second Church parking lot.
