Parking

Parking is available in the parking lot at the main building and along Forest Street, if necessary.

Directions to Gann Academy

From 60 Highland Street, West Newton Square (10 minutes from CDT)
Turn left onto Washington St. and right at first light onto Cherry St. At end of Cherry, turn left onto High St. At the first light, turn right onto Newton St. Take Newton St. to end. Turn left onto Main St. and get into right lane. Turn right at first light onto Lyman. Come to a rotary. Continue to first exit, onto Beaver. Take a left at light onto Forest St. (Bentley College at corner). Gann Academy is on your right, about 3/4 mile up Forest St.

From Cambridge/Belmont

From Alewife Station, take Rte. 2W to Exit 59 (Rte. 60). At end of ramp turn left (toward Belmont) onto Rte. 60/Pleasant St. Continue through Belmont. Bear right onto Trapelo Rd. Continue 1.6 miles to Forest St. - third street on left after National Archives - turn left. Gann is 0.4 miles on left.

From the North

Take Rte. 128/I-95S to Exit 28 (Trapelo Rd.). Take Trapelo Rd. east toward Belmont. Continue 2.3 miles on Trapelo Rd. to Forest St. on right. (The National Archives is ~1/4 mile too far.) Turn right at the light onto Forest St. Gann is 0.4 miles on the left.

Tashlikh Locations

We will gather outdoors for the Tashlikh ritual at three locations: Newton City Hall Pond, Jamaica Pond in JP, and the dock in Watertown Square. All ages welcome! Bring some beans or small stones to throw into the water.

**Meet at the World War I/World War II Memorial at the corner of Main Street and Riverside Rd/Charles River Road. There is parking along the river road.  The group will take a short walk to the service location along the river.

Rosh Hashanah Day II All Ages Walk
Hannah Limov, CDT educator and rabbinical student,  will be leading an outdoor all-ages Rosh Hashanah program and light walk at The Cove at Auburndale Cove, please arrive by 10am. If using GPS type in The Cove West Pine St., Newton to get to the correct location and park in the lot at West Pine St. The group will meet on the field on the other side of the lot at 10am. If you are having trouble finding the location and are using your phone, you can reach Hannah at (530) 913-7972.
